Founder
Carlos de la Huerga is a business executive with extensive experience as an innovator and leader in intellectual property management. During his career, he has been involved with database development, artificial intelligence programs, defibrillators, IT security devices, and RFID data collectors.
Carlos founded Telaric in 1996 as a technology and intellectual property development firm. Telaric has over 30 patents and applications of its own, made up of five different portfolios. Since then, Telaric has expanded in several directions including the spinout of a number of technology and consulting companies.
Through Telaric Ideas, one of Telaric's spinout consulting companies, Carlos provides innovation, intellectual property and licensing assistance focused on meeting each client's business goals.
Prior to Telaric, Carlos was the Vice President of Engineering and Division Manager at a $500 Million public medical device company. Much of his business driven approach to innovation is a result of his responsibility for the bottom line. He is a member of the Wisconsin Technology Council, a panel focused on encouraging the development of science and technology based businesses in Wisconsin. He is also a founding member and past president of the Wisconsin Area Research Managers (WARM) and has acted as an expert witness for a significant patent infringement case.
